TERMS & CONDITIONS & WARRANTY
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by AlloyXpress.
By booking or approving work with us, you agree to the following terms.
- OUR SERVICES
AlloyXpress is a fully equipped wheel centre based in Shrewsbury.
We specialise in:
- Wheel stripping
- Shot blasting
- Powder coating
- Diamond cutting
- Colour changes
- Buckle repairs
- Wheel welding
- Wheel nut removal
We undertake all of our work in-house.
We welcome both private customers and trade customers.
- QUOTES & ADDITIONAL WORK
Quotes are based on the information and photographs provided to us and/or our initial inspection of the wheels.
Once wheels are stripped or inspected, previously hidden damage, corrosion, cracks, previous repairs or other issues may become apparent.
If additional work is required, we will discuss this with the customer before carrying out significant additional chargeable work where reasonably possible.
If a wheel is considered unsuitable or unsafe for the requested work, we reserve the right to refuse the job.
- TURNAROUND TIMES
We aim to provide a fast service.
MOST REFURBISHMENT WORK IS COMPLETED WITHIN 48 HOURS.
This is an estimated turnaround and is not guaranteed unless a specific completion time has been agreed with the customer.
Turnaround times can be affected by the condition of the wheels, additional work required, workload, equipment issues, material availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
- SAME-DAY SERVICES
We offer same-day services for selected work, including:
- Buckle repairs
- Wheel welding
- Wheel nut removal
SAME-DAY SERVICES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
Customers should WhatsApp us before travelling to confirm whether we can complete the required work that day.
A same-day request does not guarantee that the work can be completed on the same day.
- WARRANTY
Our warranty applies only to the specific service and workmanship provided by AlloyXpress.
POWDER COATING – 12 MONTH WARRANTY
Powder coating carried out by AlloyXpress is covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in our workmanship and the applied coating, subject to the conditions below.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Kerbing
- Potholes
- Road debris
- Accidents or impacts
- Tyre fitting or removal
- Incorrect wheel fitting
- Corrosion caused by physical damage
- Stone chips
- Harsh or unsuitable chemicals
- Acidic wheel cleaners
- Abrasive cleaning
- Damage caused by another company or third party
- Normal wear and tear
- Any subsequent repair or modification carried out by another party
The warranty period begins from the date the work is completed.
- DIAMOND CUT WHEELS
Diamond-cut wheels are subject to the same general warranty principles as powder-coated wheels where a powder-coated/lacquered finish has been applied.
Diamond-cut finishes can be more susceptible to damage from kerbing, impacts, tyre fitting and corrosion.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by these external factors.
Where a wheel has previously been diamond cut, we will assess whether it is suitable for further machining.
- BUCKLE REPAIRS
NO WARRANTY IS PROVIDED ON BUCKLE REPAIRS.
Buckle repairs are carried out subject to inspection and the condition of the wheel.
Some wheels may have damage that cannot be safely or successfully repaired.
We will not carry out a repair where we consider the wheel unsuitable.
- WHEEL WELDING
NO WARRANTY IS PROVIDED ON WELDING REPAIRS.
Wheel welding is carried out subject to inspection and our assessment of the wheel and damage.
Not all cracked or damaged wheels are suitable for welding.
We reserve the right to refuse welding work where we consider the wheel unsuitable for repair.
- WHEEL NUT REMOVAL
Wheel nut removal is carried out using appropriate methods depending on the condition of the nut.
Removal may result in damage to the wheel nut, locking key, bolt, stud or other components.
Customers accept these potential risks when instructing us to carry out wheel nut removal.
- PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE
Wheels can contain damage that is not visible before refurbishment.
This may include:
- Cracks
- Corrosion
- Porosity
- Distortion
- Previous welding
- Previous repairs
- Structural damage
Damage discovered during stripping, blasting, machining or preparation is not considered damage caused by AlloyXpress.
Where appropriate, we will contact the customer before proceeding with additional work.
- COLOUR & FINISH
Colours shown on screens, photographs or samples may vary slightly from the final finish.
The final appearance can be affected by the condition, material and previous finish of the wheel.
We will make reasonable efforts to achieve the agreed colour and finish.
- CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED WHEELS
Customers supplying wheels separately confirm that they have authority to instruct us to carry out the work.
Where wheels are supplied without the vehicle, the customer is responsible for confirming that the wheels are suitable for their vehicle unless otherwise agreed with AlloyXpress.
- PAYMENT
Payment is due when agreed with AlloyXpress.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made before the completed wheels or vehicle are released.
Trade customers may have separate agreed payment terms.
- COLLECTION & STORAGE
Customers will be notified when their work is ready for collection.
Completed work should be collected within a reasonable period.
We reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees where completed work is left at our premises for an extended period following notification that it is ready for collection.
Outstanding balances must be settled before completed work is released, where legally permitted.
- AFTERCARE
Customers should follow any aftercare advice provided by AlloyXpress.
For refurbished wheels, we recommend using suitable automotive cleaning products and avoiding harsh, acidic or abrasive chemicals.
Failure to properly care for refurbished wheels may affect the finish and may invalidate the applicable warranty.
- COMPLAINTS & WARRANTY CLAIMS
If you have a concern regarding work carried out by AlloyXpress, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible via WhatsApp.
We may ask for photographs and/or request that the wheels or vehicle are returned to our premises for inspection.
Any warranty claim will be assessed by AlloyXpress before a decision is made regarding remedial work.
- LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.
AlloyXpress is not responsible for damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, pre-existing damage or damage subsequently caused by the customer or a third party.
- CANCELLATION & CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have under UK law.
Where a customer has a legal right to cancel or request a remedy, those rights will continue to apply.
Customers wishing to cancel or change an appointment should contact us via WhatsApp as soon as possible.
- PHOTOGRAPHS & SOCIAL MEDIA
We may photograph completed work for our portfolio, website and social media.
If you do not want your vehicle or wheels photographed for marketing purposes, please tell us before the work is carried out.
